3月14日，盐田港区平盐铁路场站新闸口正式投入使用新闸口位于平盐铁路场站西南角，与22米深盐路相邻，设有进闸通道3条，出闸通道3条，可提供地磅服务新闸口出闸通道实现自动放行和电子抓拍新闸口的开通，满足了平盐铁路及场站发展需要

作为平盐铁路场站扩能改造重要工作之一，新闸口由原来位置改至22米的深盐路路边，方便集装箱卡车及各类载货车辆进出场，提升操作效率而原有闸口仅供行政车辆使用，实现进出盐田港交通与社会交通的分离，减少车流的相互干扰
